HIGH WEST CELEBRATES ‘SAVOR THE SUMMIT’
PARK CITY, UTAH (June 11, 2012) — High West Distillery and Saloon, Utah’s first legal distillery since 1870, is excited to join more than 30 restaurants at “Savor the Summit,” the Park City Area Restaurant Association’s annual outdoor dinner party on Main Street. Savor the Summit takes place Saturday, June 23, on a long line of tables running down the middle of Main Street.
Tickets for High West’s table have sold out. Nevertheless, the four-and-a-half hour dinner, featuring gourmet food expertly paired with the distillery’s world-renowned spirits, offers a glimpse of what can be had at High West’s restaurant and saloon seven days a week.
From 4 to 6 p.m., High West will serve cocktails and hor d’oeuvres, including potato gaufrette with saved Gold Creek smoked parmesan cheese, grilled oysters, croutstade, and whiskey-cured salami. The four-course tasting dinner, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., will then feature Manhattan market salad, chili relleno, a barbecue mixed grill and s’mores. Each course will be paired with a different High West whiskey, concluding with the distillery’s latest concoction, Campfire Whiskey.
“Our mouth-watering menu should excite those who will be joining us for dinner June 23, and entice anyone who’s considered stopping by our saloon to visit us this summer,” High West proprietor David Perkins said. “We’re also looking forward to sharing our newest whiskey called “Campfire,” a great complement to summertime barbecue and s’mores.”
