The “Old Fashioned” is possibly the first drink to be considered a cocktail. The recipe is so old that it was called a “whiskey cocktail”until about 1869 when newfangled mixed drinks forced purists to order the “old fashioned” way of making a whiskey cocktail.
1.5 oz High West Double Rye!
1 oz High West American Prairie Bourbon
1 Orange Slice
.5 oz Simple Syrup
3-4 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
Brandied Cherries Garnish
Muddle orange slice, demerara Syrup, and bitters in an Old Fashioned glass. Add High West Double Rye! and American Prairie Bourbon. Add cube ice, stir in the glass, garnish with brandied cherries.
